About Me

Kia orana, my name is Zayden. I live in Papakura and my favourite foods I like is butter chicken and sushi. I like playing video games like Fortnite, Apex Legends and Minecraft and I also like soccer as a sport. I don’t like many sports because I don’t really know how to play other sports. Weird, right? My favourite subjects are spelling and writing. I don’t like the subject Maths because it’s confusing.

As a learner, I am good at spelling and writing. I enjoy it because it is fun to write what I am thinking on a piece of paper. I love writing ideas on a piece of paper because my mind is fueled with interesting words. My challenges for school is to be better at maths because I’m not really good at it. My goals is to play other sports to get better at them and to build up confidence because I can be shy sometimes.

This year I am looking forward to being better at maths because I told my mum I want to be a builder when I grow up and she said that you have to be good at maths. I also want to connect with others so I don’t feel alone.

Final Activity!!!!! W3 D1 A3 Apple vs Microsoft

Hey guys and girls,

I would like to say sorry for rushing these activity's. The reason why I have rushed is because my family had to do a big clean and on my short breaks of cleaning I had decided to copy and paste because I was too scared because the Journey was ending soon and I really wanted to finish fast. I should have instead cleaned first then take my time to put more effort into these activity's

Anyways, I want to say a BIG thank you to the SLJ and thanks again for running this Journey. I have had heaps of fun doing these activity's. I am not participating next year due to being year 9. I wish for the best for the SLJ and the next people that come in.

THANK YOU AND GOODBYE!!!!!!!!!

Auckland City Mission

Auckland city Mission is a charity that gives shelters for those who are in need for it. They help homeless people by giving them shelter, giving food to eat,  and making them feel positive and safe so they aren't scared.

Image result for auckland city mission christmas presentsThey even give the homeless a soft comfy bed, household items and even Christmas gifts, which I think is pretty cool.

One day, maybe I might join the Auckland City Mission because I like helping people and it makes me feel good inside.

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post, what do you guys think of the Auckland City Mission? I catch you guys later. Bye!

W4 D5 A3 Concluding the Journey

Hey guys and girls,

Sadly, the Summer Learning Journey has ended, and I can no longer participate next year due to being a year 9 and I will be working on studies so I wouldn't have enough time next year. Hopefully new incomers will take my place as being awesome bloggers and being the role models for the newer people that come along.

The activity I liked the most was "One small Step for Man", as I love poetry and space is what I love to read and learn about.

The activity I disliked the most was probably 'Up in the air', seeing as I failed at presenting it and it looks hours spending time on something that wasn't going to work anyways.

First, I learn't that going to space may seem big to us, but in reality, it is just a small puzzle piece of information leading to trillions of untouched information we will never reach.

Secondly, I learn't that men get payed more money and respect even though lady's are the ones doing all the hard work.I hope I don't get a little sister that can carry me.

Last, I learn't that coding games is hard work seeing as I failed in the coding app. It must be hard for people that make popular games like fortnite etc.

One improvement I would make to the programme for next year is to make the links a different colour instead of blending in with the words seeing as I took 5 minutes just to find the link to the video for activity's

But before I go, I must say a special thanks to these two people.

The Picture in the right is Jordan and the one on the left is Daniel. These people are the people who have supported me throughout this Journey. Daniel is a commenter who keeps giving me positive advice throughout this Journey. Jordan has given me the confidence to keep going.  Thank you two for helping me through out the journey.

Goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This inspirational quote means to me to never ever give up on my dream even if I am put down or it seems impossible, it doesn't mean to give up. It means to me to go through hard times when your told no from other people. It means to me to achieve my goal.

W4 D5 A1 The World of Hip Hop

Hello Guys

Today I will be reviewing "The Royal Family Performance'.

First, I will be talking about what they did that I liked, then what I didn't like, then what they can improve on.

I like how they can make such illusion patterns just by dancing together.

I also love how their clothes match the theme and they are all wearing the same thing.

Lastly, I like how their dancing is in sync and how when they dance one side isn't cricked.

==================================

Image result for the royal family dance crewThere is nothing I don't like except for how they shake well, I am pretty you sure what I am talking about.  Please do not be rude about what I don't like please.

==================================

Once again, there is nothing really to improve except for how their body twist and turn  it looks like they are not human.

==================================

Thank you for reading this post. Please leave a comment. I will see you in another post.

W4 D4 A2 Try Your Own Tapa

The Tiare ( The Flower )

The Tiare is a precious flower that is from the Cook Islands. It smells beautiful and its colour is a perfect white. It symbolizes purity, romantic love, love for homeland and a link to the ancient land of origin, 'Avaiki (Hawaiki).

The Triangle Pattern ( Orange and Yellow )

I have no idea what the triangle pattern means or represents but for now, it will represent the triangle pattern exactly how I made it on my nana's hat.  It has been passed from my nana's mum and my nana's mum's mum and so on, and now she has given that hat to my mum which I think is really cool. When I get older,she will probably give it to me and I will pass it on like my nana.

W4 D4 A1 Fashion forward

Twenty Seven Names.

Image result for twenty seven namesRachel Easting and Anjali Burnett met at primary school. Since then Rachel taught Anjali an appreciation for Michelangelo, Morisot, and Kruger, while in turn Anjali taught Rachel an appreciation for Outkast, Lauryn Hill, and Mobb Deep. After studying art and fashion respectively the pair began working on small scale projects before launching their brand ‘twenty-seven names’. The label name is a homage to the list of 27 people who helped to get their label off the ground. Proudly made in New Zealand since its inception, the brand’s values lie in a commitment to sustainability, ethical production and supporting local industry.

Twenty Seven Names is a clothing brand where you can get clothes that suit you. I like their clothes because its plain and there isn't any complex patterns so your eyes struggle to see what they are wearing.

I think they're name 'Twenty Seven Names' is a very good name seeing as there is a kind of loop going around 27 people. I think it's cool where they got their brand name from.

W4 D3 A3 Feast or Famine

Would I join a 20 hour or 40 hour famine to raise money for a charity?

Well, before I start sharing my thoughts and opinions on this post I would like you to meet Julian Dennison. He is seventeen years old and he has started in alot of of movies, TV commercials etc.

But he isn't just a funny actor, he has recently joined up with World Vision to be a 40 Hour Famine Ambassador. He traveled with World Vision to Uganda to meet some of the refugees from South Sudan who are living there.

Now, to tell you why I would join this group or act like Julian.
Image result for whats a 20 hour famine

I would join because I would to see and meet other people seeing as I am always inside all day.

Next, I would join because there are many people, particularly kids, that have lost their lives or lost their family or they are starving. I would make a stand for lemonade seeing as we have no use for our lemon tree.

Last, I would join because I have a bunch of old toys that I don't use anymore I could sell it then get money and then give it to the charity.
