Carl benz
Carl Benz was a German engineer and inventor who was responsible for many contributions to the design of modern automobiles. He developed an internal combustion gasoline engine for his 1885 version of the "horseless carriage," which was initially a three-wheeled vehicle.
He invented something that has put an impact of our lives. He is the inventor of cars. Because of him, we no longer have to walk 500m to MC Donald's and back, because of him, we can travel further than the average human can walk. Because of him, we can travel far and faster.

Hey Zayden,
ReplyDeleteI love when students pick an original topic for this activity. It's so much more interesting. You make a really good point, the invention of cars and engines have had a big impact on history and our lives for good and bad. Not to mention trains and motors used in factories as well.
Your post is really informative and you've given your opinion really well. What do you think it would've been like to drive that three-wheeled horseless carriage? Do you know how fast they went?
See you in the comments.
Daniel :)
Hey Daniel.
DeleteThanks for leaving a lovely comment,
I think riding it back in the 18's would have felt weird since its the first version and motorways weren't a thing yet.
And they are slow since they go 10mph. What would have you felt Daniel?
I sm currently on the last week and looking forward to more of your comments.
See you then,
Zayden
Hey Zayden.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's really slow. I think most people would have been so used to horses that it would have felt super weird and some people may not have trusted it for a while.
